About Matthew J. Rosenblum
Matthew Jay Rosenblum has been a noted criminal defense attorney on Long Island for over 25 years. He has played a prominent role in all sorts of criminal defense cases; from the defense of Amy Fisher to the defense of those charged with fishing without a license. He is no stranger to the media, but prefers doing defense work out of the spotlight if possible.

On cross-examination Matthew will typically encourage the prosecution witness to commit to a position or story Matthew feels is false. Matthew will then confront the witness with evidence of the falsehood! If the witness just swore she cannot bend her knee, for example, and she is then, in front of the jury, asked about the picture of her bending her knee, you can imagine what a jury would think!

In the case of an alleged drug sale on the East End of Long Island, the undercover officer testified that this parking lot was "lit up like Yankee Stadium". Later, after she admitted that the aerial photograph below was a fair and accurate representation of the parking lot on the night in question, she could only count 3 lamposts in the ENTIRE LOT! On cross-examination she finally admitted that her memory regarding that night was somewhat flawed, and not accurate in all respects. The jury concluded there was reasonable doubt as to all counts in the indictment. The drug sale-if it occurred-was done by someone other than the accused!
